The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, established in 1973, is instrumental in moulding the careers of students and helping them to become world-class professionals. Besides highly qualified and experienced staff and well-equipped laboratories, the Department has been awarded 8.1 points out of 10 by the State Board of Technical Education.

RoboCup 2014 
IIT Bombay - Padarth and Microsoft Educational Partner (Virscent) are presenting “RoboCup – IIT Bombay” – the biggest event on Robotics in India. The event features students and professionals from all over the country where they showcase their knowledge and expertise and compete under the guidance of Industry Experts. "RoboCup – IIT Bombay" aims to bridge the gap between industry and education sector.

RoboCup – 2014 is the biggest championship on Robotics in the country!!!

The event will be conducted in three stages:
• Stage 1 – zonal event at colleges across India
• Stage 2 – competition at the end of the zonal event
• Stage 3 – Grand Finale and Award Ceremony at IIT Bombay – Apr'14

Championship Details:
• A two day workshop and a competition will be conducted across all the zonal centers in India
• Prize money worth Rs. 2 Lacs.

Contents:
• Color Recognition Application.
• Ball following robot.
• Gesture Controlled Robot.
• Gesture Controlled Mouse Pointer.
• Gesture controlled Windows Media Player/VLC Media Player.(demo)

Registration Fee:
Rs. 1300/- per person.
Rs. 6500/- for a group of 5. (Free kit worth Rs. 3500/- will be provided per group)

Eligibility:
B.Tech and M.Tech students of any branch are eligible.

DD (Non Refundable) (If Individual Rs. 1300/- or if group Rs. 6500/-)* should be taken in favor of "The Coordinator Robocup2014" payable at Hyderabad.
